Each instagram handle was rendered solo

A image for @newschoolstudentlife instagram story with all the handles rendered, I covered all the other ones since I didn't ask permission for their handles to be shown on my portfolio.

I used images I took of the metro-card in the process of modelling the card, then I UV'ed the image back onto the mesh I created!

Within the 3D space I set up the text in the center and made a simple backdrop. I used Autodesk Maya's MASH to create the random cluster of metro-card models I created. I tried my best to make the rain loop even with it's randomness. A simple bright, harsh light shines prominently in the scene.

For the scenes with the Instagram handles, I created a mug that has The New School logo and my JW.Berry on it, with some coffee or hot chocolate or what have you, filling the mug to the brim. The texture for the wood and the Mac Pro Laptop were found online, I do not own those. I used the same MASH system I created for the raining cards, to make this random spread of cards. I had to tweak the settings and lighting for this scene to make a perfect balance of quality and render time. I got these high quality renders to take 30 seconds to render out the 5 second animation!
This short video was rendered for all of the other handles and for the video with all handles altogether. My intention was for @newschoolstudentlife to use this video on their story and add a GIF sticker from Instagram of some celebratory content over this clip.
